Black-and-white forest photographs by Albert Renger-Patzsch from the Arnsberger Wald nature park, with an introduction by Wolfgang Haber, published by the park's association in 1965.
Black-and-white photographs of the forest in the Arnsberger Wald nature park in Westphalia, Germany, made by Albert Renger-Patzsch in the mid-1960s, late in his career. The book holds about 48 full-page plates, reproduced on plates in a cloth binding. It is a landscape and nature study of woodland, with trees as the main subject. Renger-Patzsch, a German photographer, is the only photographer. The introduction is by Wolfgang Haber, a German dendrologist who knew Renger-Patzsch and supplied the tree-science commentary. The Zweckverband Naturpark Arnsberger Wald, the nature park's association, published it in Arnsberg in 1965. It was printed at the Druckwerkstatt Hermann Kätelhön in Wamel-Möhnesee. It is a commissioned monograph for the park and not a trade photobook survey of the photographer's work.
