Abraham Johannes de Lorm

Abraham Johannes de Lorm (1902–1989) was a Dutch biologist, ethnographer, art historian, curator, and museum director. He studied biology in Leiden before becoming a curator of ethnography at the Onderwijsmuseum in The Hague from 1925 to 1944. In 1928, he pursued studies in primitive art and ethnography at the École du Louvre in Paris. De Lorm served as the director of the Gemeentemuseum (now Museum Arnhem) from 1947 to 1966, during which time he was responsible for the museum's reconstruction after World War II and oversaw numerous exhibitions and publications on Dutch art and sculpture.[1,2,3]
