Agathe Maria Bunz (1929–2006) was a German photographer and painter. After completing a goldsmith's apprenticeship, she studied photography and script art at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg starting in 1958. She worked as a photo reporter for the magazine 'Kristall' from 1962 to 1966, specializing in art history. From 1967 to 1987, she lived in Mytilini on the Greek island of Lesbos, where she established herself as a painter, primarily creating oil landscapes of the island. She returned to Hamburg for her final decades, where she died in 2006.[1,2]
