Alfred Fichelle

Alfred Fichelle was a French geographer and academic. He obtained his Agrégation in history and geography in 1914. His career included positions as a professor at the École des langues orientales in Paris and as deputy director of the Institut français de Prague. He was a member of the Association de géographes français (AFG) and specialized in Slavic countries and general geography. During World War II, he was involved in the Resistance, helping to direct young French people toward various resistance organizations or into hiding.[1,2,3]
