André René Jolly

André René Jolly (1912–1974), known by the pseudonym Erik (and earlier Jérôme Érik), was a prolific French comic book artist and writer. He debuted in the Benjamin periodical in 1930. His work is characterized by a distinct style that balanced rounded and sharp lines. Throughout his career, he contributed to various publications, including 'Les Aventures de Ratinet' and 'Monsieur Toupe'. He died of cancer in Dreux in 1974.[1,2]
