Annaleen Louwes

Annaleen Louwes is a Dutch photographer and educator. She has held various academic positions, including professor of photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam (1993–2010) and currently serves as a professor at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague since 2015. Her photographic work often explores personal narratives, portraits, and studies of individuals, including psychiatric patients and people in various social contexts. She has been involved in numerous solo and group exhibitions internationally, with works shown in Amsterdam, Paris, Tirana, Medellin, and Tokyo.[1,2]
