Bernard Latarjet

Bernard Latarjet is a French cultural administrator and engineer. Born in Paris in 1941, he trained as an agricultural engineer and served in various roles within the French Ministry of Agriculture before becoming a prominent figure in cultural management. He was notably responsible for the 'Mission photographique de la DATAR' (1982-1987), which documented the French landscape during the 1980s. Latarjet has held several high-profile positions, including Director of the Fondation de France (1989–1991), Special Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Communication (1991–1992), and President of the Parc de la Villette in Paris (starting in 1996). He has also served as President of the Monfort-Théâtre, President of the Office national de diffusion artistique (ONDA), and President of the Investment Committee of the Louvre Museum.
