Bert Hartkamp

Bert Hartkamp (died March 1999) was a Dutch lawyer and prominent photography collector. He began his dedication to photography in the 1950s after being asked to direct a major Dutch photo agency. His extensive private collection of photographs, which includes works by over 100 photographers such as Arbus, Avedon, and Cartier-Bresson, was eventually purchased by the state. He is noted for his significant contribution to preserving photographic history in the Netherlands.[1]
