Boris Groys is a Russian-German philosopher, art critic, media theorist, and essayist. Born in East Berlin in 1947, he began his academic journey in 1965, studying Mathematics and Mathematical Logic at Leningrad State University. He is an internationally renowned expert on the Russian avant-garde and Soviet-era art, as well as late-Soviet postmodern art and literature. Groys currently serves as a Global Distinguished Professor of Russian and Slavic Studies at New York University and a senior research fellow at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.[1,2,3,4,5]
