Bruno Hans Bürgel (1875–1948) was a German writer, science popularizer, and astronomer. Born into a working-class family in Berlin, he worked as a shoemaker's apprentice, lithographer, and factory worker before becoming a prominent author of astronomical knowledge. He is best known for his ability to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible literature for the general public. His work spanned various fields including astronomy, philosophy, history, and pedagogy. During the interwar period, he was an active journalist and lecturer, contributing significantly to the dissemination of science in Germany. He lived in Potsdam-Babelsberg during much of his later life.[1,3]
