Carlos Spottorno is a Spanish documentary photographer with an artistic background. Born in Budapest in 1971 and raised in Rome, Madrid, and Paris, he studied painting and printmaking at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome before transitioning to photography in 2001. His work often explores complex social issues, power shifts, and economic themes through a variety of visual languages. He has received numerous accolades, including World Press Photo awards (2003, 2015) and various international press photo prizes.[1,2,3]
