Charles Adriaan Jongejans (1918–1995) was a Dutch graphic designer and industrial designer. Born in Tanjung Selor, Indonesia, he moved to the Netherlands where he received his formal training at the Haagse Academie van Beeldende Kunsten from 1936 to 1940. Although originally trained as a sculptor, his talents in drawing and photography led him toward graphic design. He was notably active in Amsterdam during the mid-20th century, working for agencies like Co-op 2 and later establishing himself as an independent designer. His work included typography, book design, and industrial forms for various clients including the Municipality of Amsterdam and major retailers like De Bijenkorf. He also served as a teacher of typography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam from 1948 to 1981.[1,2]
