He is widely regarded as one of the most influential pioneers of modern architecture and a central figure in the Modern Movement. His work is characterized by functionalism, geometric abstraction, and the innovative use of reinforced concrete. He famously championed the 'Five Points of New Architecture' and designed iconic structures such as the Villa Savoye and the Unité d'Habitation.
