Christine Macel

Christine Macel is a prominent French curator and art historian. She served as the chief curator of contemporary art at the Centre Pompidou in Paris from 2000 to 2022, where she established and developed the department. In 2017, she was appointed artistic director of the Venice Biennale. Following her tenure at the Pompidou, she was nominated as Director of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and Musée Nissim de Camondo in Paris. She is a frequent contributor to major art publications including Artforum and Flash Art.[2,3,4]
