David Bayles

David Bayles is an American photographer, writer, and conservationist. He has spent over thirty years working in the arts, teaching photography, and writing about artistic development and the natural world. He studied under renowned photographers such as Ansel Adams and Brett Weston. Beyond his literary work, he served as the past Director of Pacific Rivers Council and has authored numerous scientific articles on endangered aquatic species. His notable works include 'Art & Fear: Observations on the Perils (and Rewards) of Artmaking' and 'Notes on a Shared Landscape: Making Sense of the American West'.[1,2]
