David Burnett

David Burnett is a celebrated American photojournalist with over five decades of experience documenting pivotal historical events, global conflicts, and political power. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he launched his career in 1967 as an intern at Time Magazine while studying at Colorado College. He spent two years covering the war in Vietnam (1970–1972) for Life magazine before joining the French photo agency Gamma. In 1975, he co-founded Contact Press Images in New York. Burnett is renowned for his visual storytelling and emotional depth, having captured major events including the Iranian Revolution and every Summer Olympics since 1984.[1,2,3,4]
