Dick Cornelis Apon

Dick Cornelis Apon was a prominent Dutch architect and professor. He co-founded the architectural firm Apon, van den Berg, ter Braak, Tromp (later known as ABBT) in 1955 with Johan Arie van den Berg, Toon ter Braak, and Wim Tromp. Apon was known for his polemical stance on architecture during his studies and later became a key figure in the 'Forum' magazine editorial team. He served as a professor of architectural design at the Eindhoven University of Technology from 1970 to 1988. His notable works include the ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague (completed in 1985), known for its distinctive form, and various housing projects in Rotterdam and Almere Haven.[1,2]
