Dorothea Keeser is a physician-turned-art patron and the co-founder of the Chelsea Art Museum in New York. She was also an art collector and gallery owner based in Hamburg, Germany. Keeser is known for her commitment to art as a living entity that reacts and interacts with its audience. In addition to her role as a museum founder and president, she has been involved in various curatorial projects and the preservation of contemporary art.
