Eelke de Jong

Eelke de Jong (1935–1987) was a Dutch journalist, columnist, and author. He began his career in 1953 as a journalist for the Nieuwe Apeldoornse Courant and later worked for prominent newspapers including Het Vrije Volk and De Telegraaf. De Jong was particularly known for his work as an editor and columnist for the weekly magazine Haagse Post, where he served from 1963 to 1971. His literary contributions include various non-fiction works and columns, as well as collaborations on photobooks like 'Hond op wacht' (1980), where he provided the text for Jack Jacobs' photography. He was noted for his distinctively ironic and detached writing style.[1,2]
