Geert van Oorschot

Geert van Oorschot (1909–1987) was a significant Dutch publisher and literary figure. He founded the publishing house Van Oorschot in 1945 with his wife, Hillie Munneke. Under his leadership, the house became one of the most influential Dutch literary funds, publishing notable authors such as Gerard Reve, W.F. Hermans, and Jan Hanlo. He was known as a 'discoverer' of talent and played a central role in the post-war Dutch literary landscape. He also co-authored the book 'Blikken of blozen' with his brother, Adrie van Oorschot.[1]
