German Karginov
author
German Karginov (1937–2015) was an Ossetian-born artist and art historian who lived and worked in Hungary. He is recognized for his scholarly contributions to the study of Russian avant-garde art, particularly Constructivism. His work often involves placing artists like Aleksandr Rodchenko within the broader context of the Russian art world during the first half of the 20th century. Karginov's research covers early life, education, and the role of official art education systems in post-revolutionary Russia. He is also an artist whose own works, such as drawings using Indian ink on paper, have been included in museum collections like the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest.[1,2,3]
