Gras Heyen (1917–1988) was a Dutch visual artist who worked in various media including painting, sculpture, graphic arts, and mural work. He is noted for his diverse artistic output, which included being a wall painter, glass painter, and sculptor. In the context of the book 'Waren wij maar zeventien' (1958), he served as the compiler/editor who selected and provided captions for various black-and-white photographs by prominent photographers such as Cas Oorthuys, Ad Windig, and Sem Presser.[1,2,3]
