Gregory Crewdson

Gregory Crewdson is an American fine-art photographer known for creating large-scale, cinematic, and psychologically charged staged scenes. His work often explores the intersection of suburban life and surrealism, utilizing elaborate production techniques similar to motion picture filmmaking. He directs a professional crew including lighting technicians, set designers, and actors to construct his images. Crewdson is a professor and director of graduate studies in photography at the Yale School of Art. He received an MFA from Yale in 1988 and has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Skowhegan Medal for Photography and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.[1,2]
