Hans Ahlborn

photographer

Hans Ahlborn (1930–1975) was a German industrial photographer and photojournalist who worked for the Ruhrstahl AG. He is recognized as a 'photographic chronicler' of the West German iron and steel industry during its peak in the 1950s and 1960s. His work, characterized by high photographic quality without pathos, documented the working world of the Henrichshütte and other plants in the Ruhr region. He captured both the analytical perspective of a reporter and the internal view of an industrial worker. After his tenure at Ruhrstahl AG, he joined the creative team of West German television (WDR) in 1968.[1,2,3,4]
