Herybert Menzel

Herybert Menzel was a German poet and writer active during the National Socialist era. He was a member of the NSDAP and the SA, eventually reaching the rank of Sturmbannführer. Known as the 'Homer of the SA', his works often served as propaganda for the regime, including poems about the Wehrmacht and the motorways. He was also a member of the Bamberger Dichterkreis. Menzel died in February 1945, likely during the final stages of World War II.[1,2]
