Ivo Ducháček

Ivo Ducháček (1913–1988) was a Czech journalist, politician, and academic. A member of the Czechoslovak People's Party, he served as a member of the Provisional and Constituent National Assembly in the immediate post-WWII period. Following the communist takeover in 1948, he fled to the West and became a prominent figure in the Czech community in exile. He served in the Czech Diplomatic Service and later became a professor of political science at City College, New York. Known for his democratic ideals and work against communism, he often collaborated with his wife, Helena Koldová, on literary projects under the joint pseudonym 'Duka'.[1,2,3,4,5]
