Jan G. Elburg

Joannes Gommert Elburg (1919–1992), known as Jan G. Elburg, was a prominent Dutch poet and visual artist associated with the Vijftigers movement. Born in Zeeland and raised in Amsterdam-Noord, he became a significant figure in post-war Dutch literature, characterized by his engaged, erotic, and playful style. Beyond poetry, he worked as a copywriter and collector of weapons. He is noted for contributing texts to various industrial photobooks, including 'PTT De Verbinding' (1962), where his prose was described as brisk and optimistic.[1,2,3,4,5,6]
