John Banville
author
William John Banville is an Irish novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter. Born in Wexford, Ireland, he published his first novel, Nightspawn, in 1971. He is known for works such as 'The Sea', which won the Booker Prize in 2005. Banville has received numerous accolades, including the International Nonino Prize (2003) and the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature (2014). He also writes crime fiction under the pseudonym Benjamin Black.[1,2]
