Karen Gamester

Karen Gamester is a Dutch-based translator and editor specializing in the visual and performing arts. Born in London, she settled in Amsterdam where she mastered Dutch while maintaining her native English as her primary professional asset. She has worked extensively with quality photography publishers and leading museums in the Netherlands. Her notable work includes translating fifteen volumes of monographs on Dutch photographers for the Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds series, as well as major surveys by the Rijksmuseum such as 'Modern Times' and 'Everyone a Photographer'.
