Leo Uittenbogaard

Leo Uittenbogaard was a Dutch journalist and writer. He began his career in the publishing industry with the monthly magazine 'De Schakel' before becoming the editor-in-chief of the weekly 'Wereldkroniek' from 1953 to 1966. During World War II, he spent time in hiding in 's-Heerenberg, a town whose atmosphere and character deeply influenced his work. Following the war, he wrote several books, including 'Jeus', which chronicled the life of Jozef Rulof. He was also involved with the Stichting Evolutie in 's-Heerenberg. Uittenbogaard is noted for his series of works titled 'De wereld... een verbijsterend avontuur'.^[1]
