author

Marie-Anne Asselberghs (1919–2013) was a prominent Dutch railway historian and museum director. She served as the director of the Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum (Dutch Railway Museum) in Utrecht from 1961 to 1984. She was a key figure in preserving and documenting Dutch railway history, authoring several books on the subject. Her work was instrumental in managing the museum's archives and collections, and she was often referred to as the first 'guardian' of railway history in the Netherlands. She was the daughter of Henri Asselberghs, who also had significant ties to the railway museum.[1,2,3]
