Martin Lee Friedman

Martin Lee Friedman (1925–2016) was an American museum curator who served as the director of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis from 1961 to 1990. A significant figure in the contemporary art world, he was responsible for shaping the institution's collection and overseeing numerous landmark exhibitions. His work often involved the curation and publication of art historical subjects, including the compilation of 'The Frozen Image: Scandinavian Photography' in 1982.[1,2]
