Massimo Mussini is an Italian art historian and critic specializing in modern art and photography. Born in Reggio Emilia in 1942, he obtained his degree from the University of Parma in 1968. He began his career as an assistant professor at the University of Parma in 1971, focusing on the history and criticism of photography. Since 2001, he has served as a full professor of modern art history. Mussini is well-known for curating exhibitions and writing monographs on significant Italian photographers, including Luigi Ghirri.[1,2]
