Max Snijders was a Dutch journalist and writer who worked for the Algemeen Handelsblad. He began his career in the foreign desk of the newspaper in 1956 after studying political and social sciences in Amsterdam. Snijders is noted for providing the accompanying text and essays for Leonard Freed's documentary photography, most notably for the book 'Joden van Amsterdam' (1958). His work often focused on cultural documentation and historical narratives within the Netherlands.[1,2]
