Mensje van Keulen (born Mensje Francina van der Steen) is a Dutch writer and illustrator. She debuted in 1969 with the short story 'Een bruiloft' in Hollands Maandblad. She was an editor for Propria Cures from 1970 to 1973, where she contributed literary and political cartoons as well as short stories. Van Keulen is known for her balanced writing style and has published nearly 30 novels since her debut in the early 1970s.[1,3]
