Nelli Palomäki
photographer
Nelli Palomäki is a Finnish photographer known for her timeless black-and-white portraits of children and young adults. She graduated from the Turku Arts Academy in 2008 with a degree as a media professional and later earned a master's degree in photography from Aalto University School of Art, Design and Architecture in Helsinki (graduating in 2013). Her work explores themes of growth, memory, family relationships, and the perception of self. She has exhibited her work internationally, including in New York, Copenhagen, and Berlin. Palomäki's photography is characterized by its focus on the fragility and silence of shared moments, often aiming to recapture a sense of 'lost magic' inherent in traditional portraiture.[1,2]
