Paul Shambroom

Paul Shambroom is an American photographer and artist who explores themes of power, culture, and history in the United States. He graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1978 and has since documented a wide range of subjects, including industrial environments, nuclear weapons, and small-town council meetings. His work often utilizes large-format panoramic photography to create staged tableaux that resemble epic history paintings. Shambroom's photographs are held in the permanent collections of major institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art (New York), and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota.[1,2]
