Peter Pfrunder

Peter Pfrunder is a Swiss publicist, cultural historian, and curator specializing in the history of photography. Born in Singapore in 1959 and raised in Switzerland, he studied German studies, European folk literature, and English literature in Zurich, Berlin, and Montpellier. Since 1998, he has served as the Director and Curator of the Fotostiftung Schweiz (Swiss Foundation for Photography) in Winterthur, the oldest institution in Switzerland dedicated to photography. His work focuses on the intersection of cultures through photography, the development of photographic styles, and the curation of significant photographic archives. He is a prolific author of publications regarding Swiss and international photographic history.[1,2,3,4]
