Pieter Hendrik Kaars Sijpesteijn

author

Pieter Hendrik Kaars Sijpesteijn (1896–1943) was a Dutch industrialist and the founder of 'de Nederlandsche Linoleumfabriek' (NLF) in Krommenie. He established the company in 1899 alongside his two sons, Willem and Pieter Hendrik junior. The factory became a significant producer of linoleum in the Netherlands during the early 20th century. During World War II, he was active in supporting young people who sought to flee to England for safety; for this reason, he was arrested and later murdered in the Vught concentration camp on February 19, 1943.[1,3]
