Richard Hiepe

Dr. Richard Hiepe (1930–1998) was a German art historian, gallery owner, and activist associated with the 'Arbeiterfotografie' movement. He was a founding member of the group 'tendenzen' in Munich and established the Neue Münchner Galerie. His work focused on the intersection of art, politics, and social history, particularly regarding worker photography and Marxist aesthetics.
