Roswitha Fricke was a German gallerist and bookseller who specialized in the avant-garde of the 20th and 21st centuries. In late 1978, she co-founded an antiquarian bookstore with her sister Marion Fricke in Berlin, which later moved to Düsseldorf in 1979. The shop focused on art, architecture, photography, and artist books from the 1960s to the present. In mid-1989, they established the Galerie M + R Fricke, featuring artists such as Kiki Smith and members of the 'Büro Berlin' group. She is notably recognized for her editorial work on Bauhaus photography.[1,2]
