Sylvia Wolf

Sylvia Wolf is a prominent American museum curator and educator who served as the John S. Behnke Director of the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington from 2008 until her retirement in 2022. She spent over 35 years in museum service, including significant tenures as a photography curator at both the Art Institute of Chicago and the Whitney Museum of American Art. At the Whitney (1999–2004), she served as chair of the photography department. Wolf has also been an educator for 20 years, teaching studio art, art history, and museum studies at various institutions including New York University's Tisch School of Art and Columbia University.[1,2,3]
