Tarō Okamoto

Tarō Okamoto (1911–1996) was a revolutionary Japanese artist, painter, sculptor, muralist, and writer. Arriving in Paris in 1929, he became a key figure in the development of postwar Japanese avant-garde art. He is noted for his abstract paintings and innovative sculptures that influenced the transformation of Japanese art in the mid-20th century.[1,2]
