Toshiharu Ito

Toshiharu Ito is a Japanese art historian and professor. He was born in Akita Prefecture in 1953 and graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Letters with a degree in Art History. He has served as a professor at Tama Art University and currently holds the position of Professor Emeritus at the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai). Ito is a prolific author, having published over one hundred works on photography theory, fashion history, and intermedia art. He has also been involved in numerous international art exhibitions and serves as an art critic and curator.
