Wibo van de Linde

Wibo van de Linde (1938–2018) was a prominent Dutch journalist and television producer. He began his career in the early 1960s at United Press International before moving into public broadcasting. He is well-known for his work as an editor and presenter for NTS Journaal and later AVRO Televizier. In 1974, he became the head of informative programs at TROS, where he created 'TROS Aktua', a news program known for its investigative reporting and distinctive right-leaning editorial stance. Throughout his career, Van de Linde was recognized as a pioneer of television news in the Netherlands, balancing roles as a media manager, director, and public figure. He held various leadership positions at AVRO and Endemol before passing away in 2018.[1,2]
