Willem Kaars Sijpesteijn

Willem Kaars Sijpesteijn (1860–1934) was a Dutch industrialist and the founder of the Nederlandsche Linoleumfabriek (NLF) in Krommenie. In 1899, he established the first linoleum factory in the Netherlands after obtaining a license from the Scottish inventor Frederick Walton. Under his leadership, the company became a national and international leader in flooring production. He was a prominent figure in the Zaan region's industrial history, managing various interests including oil and textiles before the company eventually became part of the global Forbo Group.[1,2,3,4]
