All American is a photography monograph by photojournalist Burk Uzzle, published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The book captures the exuberance and gaudiness of American culture through ninety-four black-and-white plates. It features subjects ranging from folk celebrations to biker meets, capturing moments where 'gaudy becomes transcendental.' The work is introduced by Martha Chadroudi and includes a preface by Uzzle himself. This first edition was released in 1984 as a result of ten years of documenting the wide-ranging activities and costumes worn for various American celebrations.
