An alphabet book in which each letter is paired with a work by Damien Hirst, running from A is for Anatomy to Z is for Zebra. It reproduces 26 colour images drawn from across his career, including paintings and sculptures. Recurring Hirst subjects such as dissected animals, butterflies and the diamond skull appear among them. Each letter is also tied to a typeface, so that A is for Albertus and B is for Baskerville. The book was printed with soya bean ink. It is a children's book that also works as an introduction to Hirst's work. The works touch on the scientific, philosophical and religious questions that run through his art. The artworks are Hirst's own, not documentary photographs.
