Text by Hendel Teicher, translated by Phillipe Garner with Luna Carne-Ross, Introduction by Maurice Besset
Erwin Blumenfeld (1897-1969) became famous for his fashion photography, working for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and also for artistic nude photography. In the 1960s, he worked on his autobiography which found no publisher because it was considered to be too ironic towards society, and was published only after his death.
This book features a curated selection of one hundred photographs by the renowned photographer Erwin Blumenfeld. Published in 1981 by Rizzoli, it showcases his distinct style and artistic vision through high-quality photographic prints. The collection serves as a retrospective of his most significant work to date.
