€90.00
A photographic project exploring the artist's identity and height in China.
Lu Xiaoben is a photographic work by Ruben Lundgren that explores his experience living in Beijing as a person of striking height (2 meters). The project, which functions partly as a life-size ruler, uses various media including photographs, light boxes, magazines, video stills, and banners to explore the concepts of stardom, identity, and cultural harmony. It features a 'living ruler suit' and explores Chinese characters through a playful lens of self-mockery and humor. The work is presented in a leporello format.
